Against a backdrop of royal blue and intricate hot pink clouds like distant galaxies is a single smooth glass orb with a swirling fractal suspended inside.

Somewhere in Outer Space

I was playing around with fractals and textures and came up with this image. I thought it looked like a lost planet against the backdrop of a galaxy or nebula. Or maybe like one of those Magic Eye pictures with the sphere standing out from the background pattern.

Silver Darkness

I used Terragen for this mountain-scape. No plants or other objects, but I was able to use the terrain coloring to suggest vegetation and rocks. It makes me think of Yosemite National Park. All three mountains bear some resemblance to the Half Dome there.

Secret Spring

I created this high mountain lake scene in Terragen. The software didn't allow for any objects including plants, only the landscape, water, and atmosphere. But by giving the ground variegated colors I was able to get the impression of wildflowers growing by the water.

A photograph of a soft pink azalea, the petals sprinkled with raindrops after a spring storm and enhanced by selective coloring.

Inner Glow

These azaleas were looking nice and fresh after a spring rainstorm. I thought the raindrops gave a nice sparkle, and a little selective coloring helped to bring out the glowing center.

Glowing Heart

Here in the southeast there are azaleas blooming everywhere in April. I photographed these after a rainstorm, and I thought a little selective coloring would be appropriate.
